was born Norma Jean Bowman in 1937 at Pell City, Alabama, one of ten children. Her country hits include "Hold On To My Unchanging Love," "Love Me," "I'm Your Woman," and "Satin Sheets," also a pop hit. Other Jeanne Pruett hits are "I'm Your Woman," "You Don't Need To Move A Mountain," "Welcome To The Sunshine (Sweet Baby Jane)," "Just Like Your Daddy," "A Poor Man's woman," "I'm Living a Lie" and "Please Sing Satin Sheets For Me," "Back To Back," "Temporarily Yours" and "It's Too Late." Hit songs she wrote for Marty Robbins are "Count Me Out," "Waiting in Reno," "Lily of the Valley,"and "Love Me." She has also written hit songs for other country artists including Tammy Wynette, Nat Stuckey, and Conway Twitty. She is also a longtime cast member of the Grand Ol' Opry.
